Power ball (Power 6/55)¶
The "power" ball is drawn from the same 1-55 pool as the mains, with one ball per draw. Expected count per ball is draws / 55 -- much smaller than for mains, so the spread of observed counts will look proportionally larger. This is variance, not signal.
A Vietlott-specific quirk
Across the entire recorded history, the power ball has never matched any of the six main balls in the same draw. (See dup_with_main JSON; current count is 0 of 1382.) This is consistent with Vietlott applying a "without replacement" rule across all 7 drawn balls rather than treating the power ball as an independent additional pick.
